ADVERTISING SALES REPRESENTATIVE - Solid Gospel 105 FM (WBOZ 104.9/WVRY 105.1) and 94 FM The Fish (WFFI 93.7/WFFH 94.1)

Overview -Can you sell AIR?
AIR time, that is! We're talking radio advertising, but not for just any radio station; radio advertising with one of the most sought after audiences Christian radio can produce. You will enjoy making a positive impact on your client’s business growth while you personally develop and stretch your professional sales abilities. Our outside sales representatives are in the field every day meeting with middle Tennessee business owners and presenting effective solutions for growing their business through advertising to our high quality listening audience. You’ll be using your marketing skills, presentation skills, sales skills, and advertising background to help our customers design their on-air advertising programs in order to grow their businesses. Our training is first-class. You’ll have all the tools you’ll need to build a rewarding career. Our top performers make quota like clockwork: While you’ll have all the tools you’ll need to meet your monthly sales goals, it’s up to you to set up meetings, meet clients, uncover their business needs, and present recommended business growth solutions. Our top performers are on the go 8-10 solid hours per day, and their incomes prove it.

2. Big rewards come with new clients: You’ve got to go find them. Much of your efforts will be developing new clients. You also will need to understand our unique market and how it differs from general radio. It’s sometimes tough work, and it takes a lot of tenacity to get the job done. Not every call will be a sale, but if you’re confident, convincing and like the challenge, the development of your new client pool will be the key to your success.

3. The kind of clients every sales pro dreams of: While you have to understand how to build client relationships, up to 3 - 4 levels deep in your client companies, you will develop professional relationships that last a life time. It’s up to you to develop a keen understanding of their business, and then provide solutions that will have these clients coming back month after month for more.

4. You’re providing solutions to help your customers grow their businesses: You’ll use your consultative selling skills to determine what your customers must do to grow their businesses. Our clients expect you to help them design advertising programs for them. Then you’ll craft and present a variety of advertising options that best meet their budget and business objectives.

5. You’ll sharpen your professional selling skills like never before: Our top people don’t “wing it.” They work hard to prepare for each and every call. You’ll need to prepare special marketing material, review the Internet to understand industry trends and conduct competitive analysis. All of this is important to better understand your customer’s needs. Along the way you’ll become a top sales person and an invaluable asset to your clients and to the radio stations. 6. Become an advertising and media expert: You’ll need to quickly come up to speed on foundational business, marketing, and advertising principles. Our best performers are highly read on these issues, and when it comes to communicating them to clients, our salespeople are the most skilled presenters in town. Clients love it because they see their businesses grow. You'll be well on your way to sales success when you can CONFIDENTLY teach clients business solutions that work!
